Hamdi Tartarini is from Mombasa, Kenya where she received a diploma in International Baccalaureate. She later enrolled in United States International University where she received a BA in International Relations and Diplomacy. Her undergraduate studies focused on Foreign Policy and Development studies. She also partook in numerous Community Service programs and worked with local NGOs. Hamdi is passionate about gender studies, regionalism and global Pan-Africanism. Her research topic will focus on the role of the EAC in reinforcing Pan-African solidarity.
