Graduate Student InformationMuoki wa Mbunga is from Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Daystar University, where he graduated with honors in June 2010. His research interests include cultural resistance movements in Africa and the Diaspora, African Spirituality, Afrocentricity and African Literature. He strongly believes that the deep-seated African values of spirit and community are the embers that will fan the Pan-African flame in the 21st Century. After completing his MA degree, he hopes to pursue a PhD in Pan African Studies and eventually go back home to teach.
